Physical Therapy Assistant PRN

Under the general supervision of the Physical Therapist or Director, is responsible for administering physical therapy treatment programs or portions thereof as planned and directed by a licensed physical therapist. Is responsible for correct execution of therapeutic modalities and exercise regimes to patients. Closely communicates and collaborates with the licensed physical therapist. Must maintain accurate records of services provided. Provides direction, guidance and training to non-professional personnel in the execution of patient treatments. Responsible for following departmental procedures, maintaining professional standards and seeking professional growth. Interacts with patients, visitors, physicians and their office staff, and other hospital personnel in a professional manner. Keeps patient information confidential. Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains demeanor complementary of medical ethics.
Must be able to demonstrate understanding of HCA's and St. David's Georgetown Hospital ""Patients First"" safety initiative by strict compliance to all safety protocols and procedures.
Good communication skills. Good grammar, spelling and math skill to perform related duties. Ability to interact with others in a diplomatic and courteous manner on the telephone and in person. Knowledge and experience in Physical Therapy interventions
Required: Associates or higher degree for physical therapist assistant.
Preferred: Computer skills preferred.
Required: Current certification for BCLS Healthcare Provider.
Current Texas Physical Therapy Assistant License

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
