Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain machines in a manufacturing environment - Monitor machine operations to ensure quality control standards are met - Perform routine maintenance on machines to keep them in optimal working condition - Load steel coil onto un-coilers using crane.
- Read and interpret blueprints to set up machines for specific tasks - Use various tools and equipment, such as lathes and press brake machines, to shape and form materials - Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.
) to start a production cycle.
- Gather products, strap them into bundles, place bundles on wagon/A frame racks and apply identification.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a machine operator or in a similar role preferred - Knowledge of machining techniques and processes - Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings - Familiarity with CAD software, such as SolidWorks, is a plus - Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality control checks - Ability to handle materials safely and efficiently - Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions - Ability to properly use measuring equipment such as tape measures (imperial and metric), calipers, micrometers, etc.
- Knowledge of hand tools such as tin snips, allen keys, screw drivers, hammers, etc - Personal attributes include ethical, open-minded, observant, and tenacious.
