Provides administrative sales support for all Manitex Americas-Product lines.
Process new and existing orders quickly and effectively, to meet the needs of our valued customers.
SSA will possess knowledge and understanding of the company, its policies, practices, as well as a working knowledge of the Accounting and Logistics Departments.
Essential Duties Completes a comprehensive training program to learn sales administration policies and procedures to effectively manage order entry, maintenance, invoicing and all facets of sales administration.
Establishes and maintains a professional, working relationship with internal/external customers, distributors and end-users via telephone and e-mail.
Processes new customer orders and submits order acknowledgement documents in a timely manner.
Audit sales orders for errors with support of team members.
Verify orders include the correct prices, discounts, and components.
Verify that sales commissions are correctly entered into EPICOR.
Contact customers to obtain missing information or verify details not clearly communicated relative to the customer purchase order.
Update orders to reflect any changes and notify appropriate departments and the customer.
Coordinate with engineering department to resolve any product or technical queries regarding sales orders.
Prepare final invoices for customers.
Provide FET (Federal Excise Tax) Calculations at time of final invoicing.
Provide invoice authorization forms to customers for approval prior to invoice.
Maintain sales records and update customer records.
Perform contract folder audits; assists accounting with invoice research.
Fulfill SOX audit requirements at quarter and year end upon request.
Understands the wants and needs of customers and prospective customers.
Collaborate with management to assure customer sales satisfaction.
Once established in the position, develop, and maintain up to date product knowledge on features and benefits of all Manitex Products.
Participates in daily SOP and weekly SIOP scheduling meetings.
Maintain Daily Sales Report, Unentered Orders, and Month End Reports Demonstrates knowledge of Sales Administration Portal.
Always maintain a professional business appearance.
Adhere to Company policies and procedures outlined in Employee Handbook.
Completes other duties as assigned.
Requirements High School diploma required Minimum of two years' experience in an office setting Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
Intermediate/advanced excel skills required Capable of learning Epicor's EPICOR business operating system.
Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills required Candidate will not be a party to any agreements that restrict their ability to perform work for Manitex, Inc.
in the assigned area.
Skills Ability to read and interpret general business procedures and governmental regulations.
Ability to compile key metric reports and business correspondence for management.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from managers, customers, and the public.
Ability to work with international inquiries and provide adequate response to their needs.
Ability to calculate amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and ability to create excel formulas, pivot tables/charts.
Ability to identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Work Environment Office setting with occasional exposure to the production environment.
Some tasks may require an additional one-hour commitment after regular business hours or on weekends for invoicing duties.
