Payroll Specialist Onsite in Georgetown, TX Workday Experience is a must About the Role:
The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for all payroll-related tasks.
In this role, your responsibilities will include collecting and reviewing employee information, validating working hours, calculating wages, preparing, and processing employee payments, auditing payroll entries and maintaining accurate payroll records.
As a Payroll Specialist, you must be able to use payroll software (Workday) with accuracy and efficiency.
You will need to be good with numbers and be trusted with sensitive information.
You will also need to have great communication skills to interact with colleagues and executives.
The position requires the ability to meet regular time-sensitive deadlines and multi-task in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
Ensure payroll is run accurately in Workday, efficiently and timely in compliance with all country, federal, state, local payroll, and regulatory requirements.
Ensure account balances are correct, troubleshoot and resolve payroll errors.
Manage the processing of retirement employee contributions.
Oversee Payroll, Time Tracking and Time off add/changes and performs reviews of all data and maintains documentation for changes.
Communicate with managers regarding timesheet approval, ensuring approvals are submitted on time and following up with any delinquent submissions.
Creates and maintains different reports such as overtime reports, vacations entitlement, compensation summary, worker's compensation reports etc.
Manage all types of deductions and garnishments.
Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
Process payment of all payroll deposits, state tax deposits, quarterly taxes, year-end reconciliation, and W-2's.
Work with internal tax and finance teams and external providers to ensure remittance and reconciliation of payroll taxes.
Partner with the People Team to process payroll changes related to promotions, transfers, and terminations.
Review and abide by company policies and procedures.
Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

years of payroll experience with multi-state experience required.
2
years of progressive tax reconciliation and Quarter/Annual tax return filings required.
Workday payroll experience required.
Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxesExperience in a fast-paced start-up environment, with multi-state, and multi companyExcellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate data.
