Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of materials management, including logistics, warehouse operations, demand planning, and inventory control.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize the supply chain and ensure efficient flow of materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, plan production schedules, and coordinate procurement activities.
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels to minimize excess or obsolete stock and ensure adequate supply for production needs.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste in materials management processes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Utilize technology systems and software to track inventory, monitor supplier performance, and generate reports on key metrics.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of logistics, warehouse operations, demand planning, contract negotiation, inventory control, lean manufacturing principles, and supply chain management.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Problem-solving skills to identify issues in materials management processes and develop effective solutions.
- Proficiency in using technology systems and software for inventory management and reporting.
