Summary:
The Director of Student Services (DSS) is a key member of the schools administration and oversees the schools admissions and enrollment, registration, and scheduling processes.
SCOPE:
The Director of Student Services (DSS) is responsible for the external marketing of the school through the planning and execution of a variety of events and counsels and confers with prospective students and their families to assist them in making informed enrollment decisions.
The Director of Student Services also assists the Head of School and other staff in the creation of the master schedule and oversees the student course selection process.
Other duties of this position include supervising the schools college readiness efforts, and community service efforts.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
Admissions and Enrollment/Community RelationsOversee the schools enrollment program, including monthly Gator Bites sessions, marketing events, open houses, social media and web presence, and student visit opportunities.
Accurately track and analyze present and future enrollment data as needed and provide regular reports.
Meet with prospective middle and high school students and families to assist them in the enrollment and registration process, including choosing the correct courses.
Work closely with other administrative and support staff to ensure accuracy of student information during the enrollment and registration processes.
Oversee and develop a comprehensive, student-centered community service program with the cooperation of activity sponsors and community resources.
Serve as liaison and spokesperson for the school as needed.
Assist with administrative duties at middle and high school athletic events.
Student Scheduling and Records ManagementAssist with the creation and implementation of the master schedule.
Oversee the student course selection process.
Ensure accurate and complete records of student progress are kept.
Maintain documentation of student credits and graduation requirements.
Oversee and collaborate with instructional staff regarding student placement in virtual courses.
Oversee accurate identification of at-risk students by the established snapshot date.
College and Career PreparationCoordinate grade placement meetings for applicable students.
Implement programs aligned with the AVID College Readiness System and campus programs to support post-secondary awareness and skill development throughout all grade levels.
Assist students with the post-secondary selection, application, and financial aid processes.
Coordinate and provide parent information meeting for transition to high school and college readiness activities for each grade level.
Serve as dual credit campus liaison to educate parents and students about the program, assist with application and registration process, and recommend courses for dual credit that match with state-approved courses for graduation.
Serve as campus LPAC coordinator.
AssessmentServe as the primary contact for NCAA and AP Campus CoordinatorProvide oversight for AP testing including all registration and processing, training, and reporting.
Serve as the campus level testing coordinator and collaborate with the district testing coordinator.
Ensure appropriate student participation in college readiness assessments, including ACT, SAT, TSI, and PSAT.
Other administrative duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Duties involve sitting most of the time, bending, lifting, and standing.
Variable duties and occasional irregular hours.
No occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens or other potentially infectious materials.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
